چکیده

DNA methylation at cytosine residues governs the regulation of stress responsive genes in plant for self-protection against various environmental abiotic stresses. Here, we analyzed epigenetic consequences drought and salinity on dynamics promoter regions Germin-like protein rice (Oryza sativa). The bisulfite sequencing technique was employed to identify differential status selected three OsGLP (OsGLP4-1, OsGLP8-10 OsGLP8-12) leaves roots two elite Indica cultivars (tolerant KS282 sensitive Super Basmati) under salt stress. Our results identified cultivar, tissue stress-dependent differentially methylated residues, however, extent found be different depending upon CGN, CHG CHH sequence contexts. Among all genes, region OsGLP8-12 detected with most heavily significantly sites types variety, or conditions. However, no site OsGLP4-1. Moreover, OsGLP8-12, several response treatments were either near within cis-regulatory elements (CREs) related This indicated association between which might a key mechanism associated their stresses contrasting cultivars.

Salt-related Genes Expression Pattern in Salt-Tolerant and Salt-Sensitive Cultivars of Cotton (Gossypium sp.) under NaCl Stress

Salinity is one of the most important limitation factors in development of agricultural products. Cotton has a relative tolerance to salinity; however, salinity reduces its growth during germination and seedling stages. In this research, split-factorial design of time based on randomized complete block design with 3 replications was used. The real-time PCR results for, root, stem, and leaves of...

Catalase and Metallothionein genes expression analysis in wheat cultivars under drought stress condition

Drought stress is one of the serious problems that restricted agronomic plant production worldwide. In molecular level, the harmful effect of drought stress is mostly caused by producing of large amount of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Catalase and Metallothionein genes have a crucial role to mope the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) resulting reducing oxidative damage. In this research the gene expre...

Evaluation of some drought tolerance genes expressions and enzymatic changes in sugar beet monogerm cultivars under drought stress conditions

Sugar beet is a strategic and industrial crop and important in sugar production. Drought is a limited factor in sugar beet yield. Base on this, an experiment carried out using a split-plot format in the randomized complete block design with 4 replications in 1394-5 at Chenaran area (Bahman Jan village). The main plot included three drop irrigation regimes: 7, 14 and 21 days interval as normal, ...

Changes in free polyamine levels, expression of polyamine biosynthesis genes, and performance of rice cultivars under salt stress: a comparison with responses to drought

Soil salinity affects a large proportion of rural area and limits agricultural productivity. To investigate differential adaptation to soil salinity, we studied salt tolerance of 18 varieties of Oryza sativa using a hydroponic culture system. Based on visual inspection and photosynthetic parameters, cultivars were classified according to their tolerance level. Additionally, biomass parameters w...
